After-All Song There will be a new law: you must touch everyone in the crowd And from everyone you will receive invitations to drink And the government will give us tickets to fly everywhere And for weeks you can have all your favorite dishes for free We will rent a big car and one day Will take the highway to nowhere Remembering what we wanted to become We will sleep every night in a different luxury hotel And the morning after will be Sunday and Sunday again They will buy us a bigger TV for the Liverpool games We will rent a manor and one day Will read some architecture books Two pages from Montaigne And verses from the poets we used to be They will build a new road and will name it “The Unmilky Way” And they'll give us unlimited credit in their banks of beer With a room in the back for the times we don't want to go home We will rent a spacecraft and one day We'll see the comets from their wakes And they will bring us back And pay us one more shot And let us sing a last After-all song To say goodbye

Ivy I was waking wide a June morning Bare women beside me Shocked I was, I skipped a heartbeat She was tickled pink She said 'come with me into the sunlight, You've had too many moons to think, Come with me into the storm's eye, Come away from the brink' I was waking wide a June morning Bare bed beside me Where've you been taking those heart beats? I've few too many alone to keep No wonder why ivy curls and creeps Just outside on the vine All you leave trails behind you Like brine, like bristles, like sleep Come with me inside the storm's eye, Come away from the brink

I rarely do everything on time especially not in this moonshine when I see its calling I won't come, as the moon always changes I rather stay in the flood of dreams to drown when it's good to be lost good to be I'll stay in the prison of the shadow of the moon there's a slippery ice, on which to glide into wonderland one could fly as well I'll stay, the ice that just gives away from far away you understand how they fight for the stars when it's good to be lost good to be

about

For many of us, musicians and live-music lovers, 2020 has been —among other things— the year without concerts.
In a city like Berlin, where hundreds of artists from all over the world try to make a living by playing in bars and on the street, it was sort of an unreal sad thing.
We used to play gigs and plan tours before March, but then everything changed.
Nevertheless, as we are songwriters, we kept writing and composing songs. (Actually, some of us followed the first Nick Cave's wave, and just stopped composing and playing. But others anticipated the second Nick's wave, and spent time composing new tunes. Anyway, Nick Cave blesses all of us, and that's great!)

So at the end of this year, we exchanged gifts in the form of songs, written during 2020 and roughly recorded at home.
We like to think about this album as a present or a postcard from Berlin to all our friends, parents, sisters, brothers, grandmas and grandpas around the world, to the countries we come from, and to the ones we look forward to seeing, soon or later.

If you want to support our work, here you can do it.
If you just want to listen to some new songs, here you can do it.
If you want to share new music with friends and feel like a true connoisseur of the Berlin indie scene, this is your album.
And If you would love some of these tunes and want to say hi to us, please do that: It helps a lot to know that our music is going somewhere.

We hope we'll keep sending postcards.
This work goes to our fans and to everyone who supports artists.

Stay safe
